" We live in a world full of electronic devices. We beep each other, use cellular phones, send faxes and e-mails, and leave messages on answering machines. Whatever happened to sitting down over a cup of coffee and solving all the world's problems? What's become of neighbours sitting on the front porch and visiting until dark? Why don't friends ever just drop by anymore? Yes, technology is a good thing but maybe not for relantionships. We've gotten so caught up in " gadgets " that we've lost sight of humanity. Sometimes we still need a hug or a pat on the back. We still need to look someone in the eye, face to face, when we talk to them. Nothing will ever replace human contact. I miss you. I miss the smile that used to brighten my day. I miss the embrace that used to give me the strength to make it through whatever trials might come my way. I miss the eyes that sparkled when you talked of the things that brought you joy in life. So the next time you think of me -please don't leave me a message. Stop by and see me - because no machine will ever take the place of you. "
